At the Belfast offices of one of the largest professional services firms in the world, Style worked with architect, Perkins & Will, and Edgewater Contracts, to create flexible space in the company’s level 16 meeting room.
Hosting a variety of meetings and events daily, the space is used for internal and external purposes, and is a real showcase for the business – boasting panoramic views of the Belfast skyline.
Retaining the light, open feel of the floor, Style installed a Dorma Huppe Variflex glass moveable wall, with an impressive 52dB acoustic rating.
With semi-automatic operation, this market-leading moveable wall enables staff to create a smaller, private meeting room off the main open plan floorspace, or open the entire area up for larger conferences and gatherings.
Thanks to its high acoustic rating, concurrent meetings can take place undisturbed when the wall is in place, and the frosting and manifestation on the glass panels provide privacy while maximising light.
“This is an exceptional moveable wall solution for a stunning meeting room,” said Angela McGowan, sales director for Style Scotland and Northern Ireland.
“Due to its smooth operation and lightweight panels, the wall can be quickly moved in and out of position to cater for multiple meetings each day.
“The semi-automatic operation means the acoustic seals are applied to the correct pressure each time, and minimises the chances of damage through manual handling, and the Dorma Huppe Variflex is a highly sustainable moveable wall too.”
