As a showcase office, Telefónica expected a breathtaking solution when creating flexible space for its meeting and conference rooms. Working with contractor, Overbury, and architect, T P Bennett, Style was specified to install Skyfold; its unique, vertically rising, fully automatic, acoustic moveable wall, housed in the ceiling to maximise floor space.
Skyfold has won huge acclaim since entering the UK market. Gliding effortlessly into position with a simple push button operation, it opens and closes vertically, occupying no wall or floor space at all.
The installation at Telefónica was momentous because it was the 100th installation by Style, the exclusive UK agent to Skyfold.
“To fit our 100th Skyfold at such a prestigious office was a perfect way to celebrate a moveable wall that has won an astonishing number of plaudits as its reputation has grown,” said Julian Sargent, group managing director of Style. “At Telefónica we created flexible space across three meetings rooms by installing two Skyfolds, both in a stunning fabric finish.
“Its incredible Rw 51dB acoustic rating means meetings can be run concurrently with complete privacy. Because it is housed in the ceiling cavity no-one would even know a moveable wall was in the room until activated. And clients always enjoy a real wow-factor when the wall moves silently into position to divide the rooms.”
